요한복음 3장 16-17절

  하나님께서 세상을 이처럼 사랑하셔서 외아들을 주셨으니, 이는 그를 믿는 사람마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려는 것이다. 하나님께서 아들을 세상에 보내신 것은, 세상을 심판하시려는 것이 아니라, 아들을 통하여 세상을 구원하시려는 것이다. _새번역성경

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him._NASB

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again._The Message
