요한복음 16장 7-8절

  그러나, 내가 너희에게 진실을 말하는데, 내가 떠나가는 것이 너희에게 유익하다. 내가 떠나가지 않으면, 보혜사가 너희에게 오시지 않을 것이다. 그러나 내가 가면, 보혜사를 너희에게 보내주겠다. 그가 오시면, 죄와 의와 심판에 대하여 세상의 잘못을 깨우치실 것이다. _새번역성경

"But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. "And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; _NASB

 So let me say it again, this truth: It’s better for you that I leave. If I don’t leave, the Friend won’t come. But if I go, I’ll send him to you. When he comes, he’ll expose the error of the godless world’s view of sin, righteousness, and judgment: _The Message
