요한복음 4장 22-24절

  너희는 너희가 알지 못하는 것을 예배하고, 우리는 우리가 아는 분을 예배한다. 구원은 유대 사람들에게서 나기 때문이다. 참되게 예배를 드리는 사람들이 영과 진리로 아버지께 예배를 드릴 때가 온다. 지금이 바로 그 때이다. 아버지께서는 이렇게 예배를 드리는 사람들을 찾으신다. 하나님은 영이시다. 그러므로 하나님께 예배를 드리는 사람은 영과 진리로 예배를 드려야 한다." _새번역성경

あなたがたは 自分の 知らないものを 拜んでいるが， わたしたちは 知っているかたを 礼拝している． 救は ユダヤ 人から 来るからである．しかし， まことの 礼拝をする 者たちが， 霊とまこととをもって 父を 礼拝する 時が 来る． そうだ， 今きている． 父は， このような 礼拝をする 者たちを 求めておられるからである．神は 霊であるから， 礼拝をする 者も， 霊とまこととをもって 礼拝すべきである 」．_口語訳

"You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.  "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."_NASB

You worship guessing in the dark; we Jews worship in the clear light of day. God’s way of salvation is made available through the Jews. But the time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you’re called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter.  “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.”_The Message
