마태복음 13장 38-43절

밭은 세상이다. 좋은 씨는 그 나라의 자녀들이요, 가라지는 악한 자의 자녀들이다. 가라지를 뿌린 원수는 악마요, 추수 때는 세상 끝 날이요, 추수꾼은 천사들이다. 가라지를 모아다가 불에 태워 버리는 것과 같이, 세상 끝 날에도 그렇게 할 것이다. 인자가 천사들을 보낼 터인데, 그들은 죄짓게 하는 모든 일들과 불법을 행하는 모든 사람들을 자기 나라에서 모조리 끌어 모아다가, 불 아궁이에 쳐 넣을 것이다. 그러면 그들은 거기서 울며 이를 갈 것이다. 그 때에 의인들은 그들의 아버지의 나라에서 해와 같이 빛날 것이다. 귀 있는 사람은 들어라." _새번역성경

畑はこの 世界のことで， 良い 種とは 御国の 子どもたち， 毒麦とは 悪い 者の 子どもたちのことです．毒麦を 蒔いた 敵は 悪魔であり， 收穫とはこの 世の 終わりのことです． そして， 刈り 手とは 御使いたちのことです．ですから， 毒麦が 集められて 火で 焼かれるように， この 世の 終わりにもそのようになります． 人の 子はその 御使いたちを 遣わします． 彼らは， つまずきを 与える 者や 不法を 行なう 者たちをみな， 御国から 取り 集めて，火の 燃える 炉に 投げ 込みます． 彼らはそこで 泣いて 歯ぎしりするのです．そのとき， 正しい 者たちは， 天の 父の 御国で 太陽のように 輝きます． 耳のある 者は 聞きなさい．_ 新改訳

and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels. "So just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. "The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. The field is the world, the pure seeds are subjects of the kingdom, the thistles are subjects of the Devil, and the enemy who sows them is the Devil. The harvest is the end of the age, the curtain of history. The harvest hands are angels. “The picture of thistles pulled up and burned is a scene from the final act. The Son of Man will send his angels, weed out the thistles from his kingdom, pitch them in the trash, and be done with them. They are going to complain to high heaven, but nobody is going to listen.
