요한복음 12장 46-47절

 나는 빛으로서 세상에 왔다. 그것은, 나를 믿는 사람은 아무도 어둠 속에 머무르지 않도록 하려는 것이다. 어떤 사람이 내 말을 듣고서 그것을 지키지 않는다 하더라도, 나는 그를 심판하지 아니한다. 나는 세상을 심판하러 온 것이 아니라 구원하러 왔다._새번역성경

  わたしは 光としてこの 世にきた． それは， わたしを 信じる 者が， やみのうちにとどまらないようになるためである．たとい， わたしの 言うことを 聞いてそれを 守らない 人があっても， わたしはその 人をさばかない． わたしがきたのは， この 世をさばくためではなく， この 世を 救うためである．_口語訳 

"I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. "If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world._NASB  

 I am Light that has come into the world so that all who believe in me won’t have to stay any longer in the dark. “If anyone hears what I am saying and doesn’t take it seriously, I don’t reject him. I didn’t come to reject the world; I came to save the world._The Message
