전도서 8장 14절

이 세상에서 헛된 일이 벌어지고 있다. 악한 사람이 받아야 할 벌을 의인이 받는가 하면, 의인이 받아야 할 보상을 악인이 받는다. 이것을 보고, 나 어찌 헛되다고 말하지 않을 수 있겠는가? _새번역성경
地の 上に 空な 事が 行われている。すなわち、義人であって、悪人に 臨むべき 事が、その 身に 臨む 者がある。また、悪人であって、義人に 臨むべき 事が、その 身に 臨む 者がある。わたしは 言った、これもまた 空であると。_口語訳
There is futility which is done on the earth, that is, there are righteous men to whom it happens according to the deeds of the wicked On the other hand, there are evil men to whom it happens according to the deeds of the righteous. I say that this too is futility._NASB
